Our Commitment

Playa Vista Living, Inc. (operating as Team Tami) is committed to ensuring that teamtami.com is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to provide an inclusive digital experience that conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the California Unruh Civil Rights Act.

We believe that everyone deserves equal access to information about our communities, property listings, and real estate services — regardless of ability.

Conformance Status

We are actively working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. Based on our most recent automated accessibility audits (conducted May 2026 using Google Lighthouse and axe-core), our current status is:

PageLighthouse Scoreaxe-core ViolationsStatus
Homepage82%3 (contrast, heading order, viewport)Partially Conformant
Community Guide Pages82%3 (contrast, heading order, viewport)Partially Conformant
Contact Page87%3 (contrast, heading order, viewport)Partially Conformant
Market Intelligence BotN/A4 (button name, contrast, viewport, heading)Partially Conformant

"Partially conformant" means that some portions of the content do not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are working to identify and resolve these issues.

Known Issues and Remediation Plan

Our audits (Lighthouse + axe-core) have identified the following accessibility issues, which we are actively working to resolve:

Accessibility Features

The following accessibility features are currently implemented on teamtami.com:

Navigation and Structure — Semantic HTML5 elements (header, nav, main, footer) for screen reader navigation; keyboard-navigable menus and interactive elements; consistent page layout and navigation across all pages; and descriptive page titles for each page.

Visual Design — Responsive design that adapts to different screen sizes and orientations; text can be resized using browser controls; links are visually distinguishable from surrounding text; and focus indicators on interactive elements.

Content — Alternative text on informational images; form labels associated with their input fields; error messages that identify the field in error; and descriptive link text.

Media — No auto-playing audio or video content, and no content that flashes more than three times per second.

Third-Party Content

Some content displayed on teamtami.com is provided by third parties, including:

MLS listing data and photographs (via CRMLS and CLAW): We display property information from the Multiple Listing Service. While we strive to present this content accessibly, we do not control the original source data or photographs.

Google Maps: Interactive maps are embedded on certain pages. Google Maps has its own accessibility features, but some map interactions may be challenging for keyboard-only or screen reader users. We provide text-based alternatives (addresses, neighborhood descriptions) alongside map content where possible.

Market Intelligence Bot (MIB): Our AI-powered chat tool supports keyboard navigation (Tab to input field, Enter to submit, Tab to suggested action buttons). The chat container uses aria-live="polite" to announce new messages to screen readers. We have identified that the send button currently lacks an accessible name, which is being remediated. We are continuing to evaluate and improve its accessibility for screen reader users.

We work with our third-party providers to ensure their content meets accessibility standards where possible, and we provide alternative access methods when third-party content presents barriers.

Assistive Technology Compatibility

teamtami.com is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies: screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS), screen magnification software, speech recognition software, and keyboard-only navigation.

We test with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) in combination with commonly used assistive technologies.

Assessment and Audit Approach

Our accessibility assessment approach includes automated testing using Google Lighthouse and axe-core to identify machine-detectable issues, periodic manual testing of key user flows (property search, contact forms, MIB interaction) using keyboard-only navigation and screen readers, and ongoing monitoring where accessibility is considered during the development of new features and content updates.

Technical Specifications

teamtami.com relies on the following technologies for conformance with WCAG 2.1: HTML5, CSS (Tailwind CSS), JavaScript (React), and WAI-ARIA (where applicable).

Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some limitations exist:

User-generated content: Content submitted by users (e.g., property descriptions from MLS, user messages) may not always meet accessibility standards. We review and remediate where possible.

PDF documents: Some downloadable documents (e.g., market reports, floor plans) may not be fully accessible. We are working to ensure all new PDF documents meet accessibility standards and will remediate existing documents upon request.

Real-time data: Some dynamically updated content (e.g., listing price changes, new MIB responses) may not be immediately announced to screen readers. We use ARIA live regions where appropriate.
